WHS offers students many digital tools to enhance their learning experiences during their tenure at the high school. Please see below for specific details about each of these tools. If you have questions about technology or need assistance please contact the district technology office at helpdesk@wayzata.k12.mn.us or dial 763-745-5100.

Moodle is an on-line course management system teachers may use to create a blended environment for their classes. Teachers using this program will use the site as an extension of their classroom to complete assignments, take quizzes, and access other important course items. This area is for students only and is accessible from home with the student's assigned school log in and password.

Google Apps is an on-line set of tools for students to use both in and outside of school. Each student has a school sponsored isd284.com e-mail account as well as Google Docs (word processor app, spreadsheet app, presentation app, drawing and forms), calendar, web sites and more. Students may be asked to use Google Docs to work on group projects - as all members of the group may work on a shared document at the same time. Students are able to access their Google account with their school assigned log in and password.

Turn It In is software that identifies text in your assignment that is similar to other Internet sources. Turnitin is used by some faculty to collect student work and provide feedback as well as to help maintain academic integrity in their courses.  Teachers are able to use Turnitin right within their Moodle page.  Other teachers may directo you to go to www.turnitin.com and log in (use the account you created last year) or create an account. Follow the directions given to you by your teacher for access to their class to upload your paper.

EasyBib has a bibliography tool, citation tool and notebook that allows students to keep track of their resources when working on a project and allows them to keep notes and important research information in one place. See your teacher or Mrs. Samec in the Media Center for more information about logging in and using this resource.
